7 апреля, 2021 The March Open Beta has been a tremendous success
The entire team at Playwing Bordeaux was not expecting such success from the closed beta. During 10 days, more than 250.000 people registered on Steam to play our brand new game.
“The second closed beta was amazing. We were not expecting so many players to join us, and we are happy everyone had a lot of fun! To be honest, we were expecting to see 50 to 70.000 people attend the Beta, but the word of mouth really helped, and many content creators have allowed Century: Age of Ashes to reach way more players. All players leaving feedback on our Discord server or in our different Social Media channels means a lot to us. We cannot thank you enough for this, and we will make sure to take the time to review them all in order to improve the experience of Century: Age of Ashes. Community is key, and we really care a lot about the experience players can have in our game.” said Pascal Barret, Playwing Bordeaux Art Director, and Studio Manager.
We received thousands of messages from community members all around the world, and we want to make sure everyone’s feedback is considered in order to make the game a better experience. We can already see players are eager for new content, like new game modes, new classes, more in-depth mechanics, and that is some works that are already in the pipeline.
The team had a lot of conversations in the last few days, and we came to the conclusion that we really want our players to experience the best version possible of the game. We want them to be part of the team by considering their demands, their will. Therefore, we have decided to postpone the release of the Century: Age of Ashes Early access.
Be sure, our goal is to release the game in 2021, we are doing our absolute best to make it work. We are continuing to monitor all messages we keep receiving and investigating the way to improve these epic dragons’ battles. We will keep informing you of new features we are working on regularly, so make sure to frequently connect to our social media channels to not miss anything!

Once again, we want to thank you all for your messages we received, and we are still receiving after the second closed beta ends.
We would also like to pay tribute to the 6,545,445 slain dragons during these thousands of games. You have been incredible while fighting for victory. You seemed to lightly prefer the Phantom (36% of players) and a bit more than 222,343 dragons’ eggs have hatched. Last but not least, we wanted to congratulate the 18 players across the world that have unlocked “the Earl” title.
We have got plenty of things we are currently working on, and we cannot wait to show you more. The dragon’s community is amazingly positive and responsive all around the world and we would not expect a less passionate audience. This is thanks to you that we believe in our project, and we want Century: Age of Ashes to be your game as much as ours.
